Officially have one more day before I take a long vacation from work.  I'm making the best of my Labor Day weekend for sure.  Currently really looking forward to not having to feel like a Sardine packed inside a Metro during rush hour! I can tell you where you wont' see me, you won't find me on the 70 that's for sure!

I think that Monday was an anomaly that the 70 seemed cleaner than usual, the floors seemed clean and the view from the windows was exceptionally clear.  I couldn't believe that I had to take a second look and I didn't feel like once I got to lab I needed to de-germ by washing my hands 10 times and singing "happy birthday" twice to make sure that enough time elapsed to kill all the germs. :)

Hello vacation! This weekend is the big temple ceremony and I am super excited to be part of it and volunteering.  I hope that the webcast will be a success and that disciples and future disciples of GM will see and be enlightened by his words of wisdom. :)

Wow...it still exists

I can't believe that this blog is still here...after all this time!!! This is amazing! However, I'm kinda of sad now that I'm picking this up again and thinking what if my physical body isn't here.  What if I pass, will this blog still be here?  I think the last time I updated this thing was in 2005 or 2006, and 3 or 2 years later it is still here, would it still be here in 10 years?  Perhaps I will update a bit more often, I've neglected for far too long. I've been reading other people's blog and have been inspired to also write.  I generally don't write, because my forte has never been writing, as the saying goes, practice makes perfect. I feel like at this moment that I've unlocked a time capsule--crazy.  Here's something crazy in reference to my past post. JAG has finally ended after its 10 years on air in 2006, I can't believe that two years have gone by and I still miss this show. They sure don't make American TV shows the way they use to.  Today, the rave is about low paying no-bodies on reality TV shows who win $$ and create drama...sigh.

As for this blog, I will continue to use it for my musings from my day to day life.

What has happened that is of interest and worth noting....hmmmm. I guess chinese dramas are really my thing these days besides work. I've been watching the second of the series Heart of Greed called Moonlight Resonance.  Oh my buddha!!! It is extremely addicting, I find myself even after a tiring day to watch it.  There are are a couple of shows that are really good at the moment, but with minimal hours during the night, you gotta be selective as to what to watch to make the best impression.  As for this drama, it's heart felt with great storyline content, so much drama happening in one family. I will have to honestly say that this doesn't really top Heart of Greed I, but it sure comes close.

Tommorow, possibly some interesting musings from my public transportation experiences...

So wow...its May! I totally neglected this place for too long! Well, I guess its no time like now then to update it! Terry and I made a pact that we would update this site before the end of this Memorial weekend, so I'm keeping my end of the bargain, sort of.

A lot has happened since March, such as April and much of May. Can't believe I'm heading over to the east coast soon, but it'll be an exciting and exhilirating journey to be independent and explore the fast pace side of the U.S. Everyone I've talked to has been saying that I'll miss the laid back nature of the West coast. Thats the most significant thing that will be changing in the near future.

Little things have been happening too...but of course nothing is really little in my book when there is stuff going on.  Rambling on...

April-

hmmm...got our research paper published in an engineering journal of some sort for sensors. Another thing that happened was ate a lot of good food just in general, mom had a good cooking vibe going this month. Went to the Cherry Blossom festival. But, as a recall, there was drama in this month too, but I can't recall what it pertained. AH...I remember, it was about family crap. I just have one thing to ask "am I too old to be adopted by a "normal" family?" the drama is that MY family members have a knack for sticking their foots in their mouths so often that its not worth having any kind of conversation with them.! ARGGGG...still pissed.

May

-Anne had a birthday shindig at a bowling alley and of course drama happens. HAhaha..the drama of having a birthday bash for so many people! Let's just say that it was fun, but more drama then fun. Hmm...This month has been a good month for food too. Now that my mom has finally accepted the fact that I'm going to spread my wings and fly away, she has been babying me more and feeding me more of the good food she's been vibing on in April :) yum for me! Anyhow, she's actually taking it quite well. This memorial weekend was fun, but the weather didn't last though. It was clear cut 90 degrees for two straight days, but then when Mememorial Day rolled around, 65 degrees, yikes. Well still it didin't hinder my ability to go to Anne and Terry's house to have good Momma Chen cooking. All I have to say is that if I can be adopted by any family, it would be that one. ;) Yesterday, I went to the Lam's for a BBQ, not bad there too. The ribs were the best, the chicken wings were yummy...Awww..reminescing is making me hungry.

That's pretty much the longest update I've ever done. On that note, "to be, or not to be, that is the question." but replacing each "be" with "eat" was the biggest dilemna I faced these past two months...but of course I chose "to EAT!" ahehhe..okay toodles blog.

Wow, it's already March! I haven't been around to dust off the cob webs in a while, so I thought I do so now. Well whats changed, nothing much besides me hermiting at home and watching "March Madness", the madness which is known as NCAA tournaments. So much drama :) ahha..better than primetime drama, if I must compare.

Here's how I see every game, guy blocks ball and inadvertantly hits the arm of the opponent.  Then a referee calls a foul shot and the camera pans to the one at fault and replays their facial expression in slow motion without sound.  The subtraction of sound only leads the viewer to use their imagination to guess what profanity out of the English language they used. Of course, then throughout the game, vengeance is on constantly on everyone's mind. The funniest part is guessing the bad word .  But on the serious note, all the teams in the tournament seem to be professionals, and of course to no bias of my own, I say, "Go Washington Huskies!!!!"

I also say "ha ha" to the commentators who voted against the number one seed Huskie, to win the Alberquerque branch. Wake forest, they all seemed to be in consensus that Wake Forest was going to win, but lookie, out in the second round. Maybe this is the Cinderella story in the making. As I said, what drama! It'll be interesting if the Huskies get to face Duke or Illinois.

What else is happening...I've finally came to my senses after 8 years of watching JAG. I finally realize that getting sucked into a TV drama and then realizing that it's not going to end the way I want it to! I really loved the whole military drama thing, but now the lead actor is going, the show doesn't even resemble anything a year ago and all I have to say is, "BAH!" I'm very bitter because when it moved to Friday nights at 9, a prime hour for having a life, I hermit-ed myself to watch the show faithfully (it's just now the same on tape after recording it). Anyhow, now I've smelled the coffee, no more JAG for me this year, what a waste of my time. Looking back and calculating the wasted time, eight seasons, 23 episodes each season, one hour drama.....184 hours!! 184 hours.

Besides the whole TV thing, there is more to life, I suppose. Spring break is here. I usually don't go anywhere because its too expensive to go anywhere economically and actually have fun with the huge crowds. I thinking about going hiking seeing how we are having some really nice usually warming weather. This works in my favor though because the park services have declared spring and hiking trails to be cleared by May for hikers and parking fees lowered for hiking trails, yay. Anyhow, nature here I come! hmmm...other than that nothing much for this week.

Finshed today's crossword and it's theme was a quote from Samual Johnson, so thought I do more research and share it here on what the rest of the quote is. The theme of the puzzle is in bold.

"Just praise is only a debt, but flattery is a present. The acknowledgment of those virtues on which conscience congratulates us is a tribute that we can at any tine exact with confidence; but the celebration of those which we only feign, or desire without any vigorous endeavours to attain them, is received as a confession of sovereignty over regions never conquered, as a favourable decision of disputable claims, and is more welcome as more gratuitous." Johnson: Rambler #155 (September 10, 1751)

Take it as you may...  Good day blog.
